Job Description
Position Summary:
The Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and
is responsible for keeping him/her abreast of the status of all
programs. The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring optimal
quality of services being delivered to clientele. The Program Manager
is furthermore responsible for assisting the Director of Operations in
the auditing of the client charts. The Program Manager is accountable
for the day-to-day supervision of direct service staff.
Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- To oversee and report
on the overall operations of the program.
- To oversee personnel
matters pertaining to scheduling (attendance, lunch periods, time
off).
To identify and
resolve all operational problems.
To supervise all
direct service staff.
To assist in the
preparation of internal reports ensuring that they are submitted on
time to the appropriate supervisor.
To assist in
conducting monthly audits on client charts.
Review all
client sign-in sheets and group therapy notes at the end of each day.
Make sure
that direct service staff are aware of their job responsibilities.
To assist
in the development of program curriculums and to ensure case managers
adhere to its content when conducting services.
Update all
literature and supplies pertaining to clients needs
To oversee
and/or conduct outreach to agencies that will refer clients; those
agencies include Department of Mental Health, Children Protective
Services, and Courts, Department of Public Services.
Other job
duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Vice President.
Qualifications:
Must have completed an Associate of Arts degree; have five (5) years
experience in the substance abuse or mental health field; and Chemical
Dependency certification. Be able to demonstrate progressive
responsibility in the areas of counseling, supervision, and program
administration. Experience in a mental health or substance abuse
field may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year-by year
basis provided that the experience includes clinical evaluation,
treatment planning and individual and group counseling. If in
recovery, individual must be sober and drug free for a minimum of five
(5) years.
Salary Schedule:
Commensurate with experience.
Evaluation: The VP of
Operations will evaluate the position on an annual basis.
