Youth Mentoring/Tutoring Services

Youth Mentoring/Tutoring Services are available to youth enrolled in treatment services (on-site and off-site) as well as to members of the community at large at our Sylmar and Long Beach locations. This valuable service is provided free of charge by volunteers from the community, including recent college graduates and working professionals who enjoy giving back to the community. Services are available based on the availability of volunteers to provide services.

Youth Mentoring Services.
We offer mentoring services to youth in the form of one-on-one and small group activities that promote positive behavior. The mentoring program is centered on engaging youth in creative and expressive activities with individual’s who serve as role models. Activities include: art projects, writing, community service projects, and computer technology projects.

Youth Tutoring Services.
We offer tutoring services to youth in the form of one-on-one and small group activities that promote educational development. The tutoring program is centered on engaging youth in educational activities with individual’s who serve as role models to build basic skills. Volunteers are available to help youth with homework, explain concepts, help youth with reading and writing skills and help educate youth about higher education opportunities.
