FAMILY INVOLVEMENT
Total Family Support Clinic understands that the substance abuse affects the entire family unit. TFSC offers a multi-faceted approach to treatment that centers around the family unit during the treatment and recovery process. This method has been shown to enhance the quality of life of every family member by providing long-lasting and sustainable results. Through assessment of the whole family, education on alternative healthy choices and lifestyle decisions, we will reunify the family and prevent further disruption of family life.
REFERRALS
Referrals to any TFSC program can be made by individuals, families, school counselors or probation officers, community-based organizations, residential programs, courts, the Department of Children and Family Services, and other governmental agencies, among other sources. INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY SERVICES
Our treatment approach offers a combination of individual and group therapy sessions. This structure allows individuals to receive individualized treatment services while also gaining the benefits of learning from other individuals in the group. Group therapy sessions utilize a range of techniques including utilizing videos, guest speakers, lecture sessions, and when the individual feels confident, sharing personal experiences.
In addition, individuals enrolled in the program are encouraged to attend recovery-focused groups, family support groups, 12 - step or alternative meetings. For youth clients, mentoring/tutoring services are incorporated into the treatment plan for individuals requiring additional academic and professional support services.
