OUTREACH AND PREVENTION SERVICES

We offer several programs and services geared towards educating the community about substance abuse, mental illness, gang violence, domestic violence and managing anger. These services are free to the community, and are available based on the availability of staff.

Community Workshops and Presentations. We offer free presentations to local businesses, community groups, social service providers, healthcare facilities, judiciaries and community based organization on topics including but not limited to understanding the addictive process, signs & symptoms of drug use, cultivating positive coping strategies, facilitating sobriety and improving functioning and general health.

Youth Substance Abuse Prevention. Our programs are offered within and in conjunction with several local middle, high schools and continuation schools. We provide students with in-school treatment services, drug prevention workshops & presentations, and service learning opportunities. We work closely with school administrators, teachers and parents to build a drug-free campus and make available supportive services for parents and siblings of youth.

Youth Smoking Cessation. We offer a specialized two-day smoking intervention and prevention workshop geared exclusively to youth (12-18 years). This program is available on-site at our locations as well as in collaboration with local schools. We are available to work closely with teachers, staff and administrators in developing and implementing smoking cessation workshops to best meet the needs of the student body. Our staff can take the lead in the development of the curriculum and supplementary education materials specifically directed towards the needs of the school.

Youth Gang Intervention and Prevention. Our staff is available to work in conjunction with local middle, high schools and continuation schools to build a drug-free and violence-free campus. We provide students with in-school treatment services, gang reduction and prevention services, workshops & presentations, and service learning opportunities. We working closely with school administrators, teachers and parents, and make available supportive services for parents and siblings of youth.
